The mission of the Laytonsville Hippos is to fuel the love of the sport of lacrosse. 

     Through teaching, coaching, and mentoring, the Hippos will be taught that their love of the game combined with their desire to succeed will propel them through life. 

     All Hippos will be shown that failure is a stepping stone of success. Without one, you will not have the other. 

     There is no “i” in “team”. There is no “i” in success, either. Success comes from being a team player. 

     The ultimate goal of this team is to utilize lacrosse as a chance to compete at the highest level, while shaping the players to be the best person they can be. This experience will challenge each player during every practice, game and film session, and it will help to bring out their best.
