Hippos may look like gentle vegetarians who keep to themselves, but hippos are remarkably agile and aggressive animals. Hippos kill more humans in Africa than any other animal. They will protect their family at all costs. Being such fast, aggressive, and territorially creatures, hippos have very few natural predators to worry about. The word is out in the animal kingdom.
